Due to reductions to the city budget, the Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture and Phoenix Arts and Culture Commission have revised the structure of the arts grants program to focus limited resources on support for Phoenix-based nonprofit arts and cultural organizations. As a result, we will not be able to accept applications from the full range of organizations that have received funding in the past. Funding eligibility will be revised for future grants cycles as the city's budget situation hopefully improves. We appreciate your understanding during these challenging times.
In 2010-2011 grants will be awarded in only two categories:
- General Operating Support Level I
- The purpose of this category is to assist in the general operations of the organization, to promote organizational stability, to stimulate growth and professional development, and to increase the organization's accessibility to the general public.
- Rental Support Program
- Provides facility rental support to those cultural organizations that help revitalize the Phoenix downtown corridor through their presentations in city-owned performing arts facilities
Applications will be accepted only from organizations that are currently funded through those categories
