The Youth Firesetter Intervention Program offers free monthly classes for children and youth ages three to seventeen. All classes are taught by experienced Phoenix Firefighters using age-based curriculums.
* Due to budget constraints the classes are no longer being held on Saturdays. There is one class a month and it will be held on the first Thursday of every month, alternating between age groups.
Education classes and times are as follows:
- Youth ages 11–17 and youth diverted by the juvenile court attend one Thursday class from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please be there no later than 12:30 p.m. to register.
Curriculum includes:
- Arizona Arson and Fireworks Laws
- The Properties of Fire/Fire Science
- Fire in the Media
- Consequences, Choices and Responsibilities
- Burn Injuries
- How the Community is Affected by Firesetting
- Fire Safety
- Youth ages 7–10, attend one Thursday class from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Please be there no later than 12:30 p.m. to register.

All classes are held at the Phoenix Fire Department’s Fire Administration Building located at 150 S. 12th Street in Phoenix, Arizona
