The Equal Opportunity Department offers monthly Certification and Business Opportunity workshops for prospective firms interested in becoming certified with the city. The workshops are at various locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area and provide in-depth information regarding the certification process.

• An opportunity for small business owners to obtain specific training in all areas of business management. Seminars and clinics are offered on a regular basis.

• An opportunity for minority, woman and small business firms to meet one-on-one with city department representatives to discuss potential business opportunities. Educational concurrent workshops also are offered during the event.
  
• MWSBE Showcase of Business Opportunities offered anually

• An opportunity to learn the procurement process, how to become a registered vendor, how to complete and submit a bid proposal, etc.

Every three months certified MWSBEs have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to business liaisons. This meeting is designed for firms that offer specific services and products that can be purchased directly by city of Phoenix departments using discretionary monies.

Certified firms offering the following services are invited to showcase:

• Promotional/Specialty Advertising
• Training and Consulting
• Travel Services
