The North Mountain area offers more than summit climbs; an array of trails
of all levels of difficulty offers something for everybody. North Mountain Park is open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. and offers trailhead parking and reservable picnic ramadas. Check the trail guides for hours at specific trailheads.
EXPANDED SILENT SUNDAYS TO NORTH MOUNTAIN PARK (Second Sunday Monthly)-- Silent Sunday returns each month in 2010!! On Silent Sundays, bicyclists, tots in strollers, in-line skaters and wheelchair users get to call the Park's roadways their own. Starting at 5 a.m. the park's roadways past the Central Avenue gate* will be reserved for non-motorized use. Silent Sunday dates for 2010 are: March 14, April 11, May 9, June 13, July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 12, Oct. 12, Nov. 14, Dec. 12.
