Eight Parks in Phoenix MODEL ROCKETS

 


There are eight parks within Phoenix that have been designated by the Parks & Recreation Director for the flying of radio control airplanes provided the operators of the airplanes meet all of the requirements stated in the Phoenix City Code: Chapter 24, Article II, Division 1, Sec. 24-49, Remote Control Aircraft

The eight parks designated for radio control airplane use are:

  • Coyote Basin, 2730 E. Beardsley Road, 27th Place & Beardsley Road
  • Desert Foothills Park (lower field), 1010 Marketplace SE
  • Grovers Basin, 17447 N. 20th St. Cave Creek Road and Grovers
  • Dynamite Park , 4550 E. Dynamite Blvd., North of Dynamite at 44th Street
  • Esteban Park, 3345 E. Roeser Rd., 32nd Street and Broadway Road
  • El Reposo Park, 705 E. Alta Vista Rd., 7th Street and Alta Vista Road
  • El Prado Park, 6428 S. 19th Ave., 19th Avenue and Southern Avenue
  • Werner's Field, 7th Avenue and Grovers Avenue
 
Model Rockets

The eight parks listed above are also designated for model rocket use. Guidelines for using model rockets in city parks are similar to those for radio control airplanes.
