THE PROGRAM- "The CSI Experience" is an interactive, hands on program that has been developed by the Crime Scene Response Unit of the Phoenix Police Departments laboratory services bureau to give citizens the opportunity to get a first hand look at what Crime Scene Specialists (CSI) really do.  This program was developed to accommodate the ever growing interest in the forensic area of crime scene investigations.

CLASS AVAILABILITY- The program is projected to have sessions every few months….please check the website calendar for specific dates and times.  Class size is limited to a maximum of twenty four (24) participants.  Small class size is necessary to ensure the best possible learning experience for participants. 

COURSE CURRICULUM- "The CSI Experience" may include the following objectives/processes:

• INTRODUCTION- Opening comments

• POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS- Topics may include, understanding the organizational structure, job responsibilities and gaining an understanding of what a "CSI" really does. To include crime scene photograph examples.

• TOUR- Overview of Crime Scene Response Unit

• HANDS-ON LAB: Participants will have an opportunity to work with highly trained Crime Scene Specialists who will guide them through a hands on approach to learning the various processing techniques commonly used in the field.

• CERTIFICATE PRESENTATION & CLOSING
