Gun Enforcement Squad

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Gun Enforcement squad is to suppress and prevent firearms related to violence through effective enforcement of Federal and State firearms laws. The Gun Enforcement Squad in partnership with A.T.F. is dedicated to the investigation of prohibited firearms possessors, armed career criminals, illegal firearms trafficking, violent organizations and gangs that misuse firearms.

Organizational and Operational Procedures: 

Gun Enforcement Squad is commanded by a Lieutenant. There is one Sergeant who supervises a group of Detectives who respond to any gun crime. The Gun Enforcement Squad is housed with ATF at an off site at 201 E. Washington on the 6th floor.

The unit is primarily a daytime investigation unit with detectives available for callout 24hrs a day through the VCB desk sergeant at 602-262-6147
