Would you like to give your child access to thousands of books, CDs, DVDs and a host of other valuable resources to help with homework from the convenience of home? You can get your child a library card – available for free to all Maricopa County residents – by visiting any of 16 Phoenix Public Library locations. You can also pre-register online before visiting the library. Proof of identification is required and children must be present to receive their cards.
What about that avid reader in your family or at the office? The Friends of the Phoenix Public Library offers memberships starting as low as $25 ($20 for seniors or students). Members receive admission to members-only book sales, gift certificates for use at sales or The Friends’ Place at Burton Barr Central Library and invitations to Friends-only events throughout the year.
For the ultimate book lover on your holiday list, the Phoenix Public Library Foundation offers exclusive membership in the Stacks Book Collectors Club. Each month, club members receive one autographed, first edition hardcover of an outstanding new fiction work by a bestselling or critically-acclaimed author.
