City of Phoenix offices will be closed at noon Thursday, Dec. 24, and all day Friday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday and all day Friday, Jan. 1, in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday.

Here's how city services are affected:

Transit: METRO Light Rail and buses will operate on Sunday schedules on Friday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Jan. 1. Dial A Ride will be available on both holidays.

Solid Waste: There will be no collection of garbage and recyclables on Friday, Dec. 25, and Friday, Jan. 1. Collections will move to Saturdays. The city transfer stations will be closed on both holidays.

Libraries: The Burton Barr Central Library and all branch libraries will be closed at noon on Thursday, Dec. 24, and all day Friday, Dec. 25, and all day Friday, Jan. 1.

Parking Meters: They will be free on both Christmas Day and New Years Day.
